Pattaya Snorkel Trips Popular Questions

You asked us ....

1) Where is Pattaya Port located?
The Harbour Port in Pattaya is located at the far southern end of Walking Street in South Pattaya. Known locally as Bali Hai Pier, the majority of all speed boats, fishing boats and other private charters leave from here and this is where you'll find the boat for our snorkeling and scuba trips. 2) What is the departure time of the snorkeling boat and when do we return to Pattaya Port?
Our Boat generally leaves the Pier at nine o clock in the morning so we would always prepare to be on board around 08.45am. Depending upon the choice of snorkeling sites that we visit, the return to the marina in Pattaya is normally between 15.30 and 17.00 in the afternoon.

3) What kind of food is available on the boat?
We have never had a complaint about the food that we offer on the boat and most of our snorkelers comment on the high quality and quantity available all day. We serve morning snacks such as fresh fruit and doughnuts and the main lunch usually consists of two or three different meat dishes with rice, spring rolls and a soup. For snorkelers who prefer to abstain from meat products, we will always try to prepare something appropriate if we're given advance notice. More fresh fruit and an afternoon snack is generally available for the journey home. Tea, coffee and chilled drinking water is freely on offer all day and for those who are willing to pay, we also have Beer and Coke cooled in the Captain's Cabin for sale.

4) If I'm not a strong swimmer can I still try snorkeling in Pattaya?
Most definitely YES! Snorkeling doesn't have age barriers like some other water sports and even if you're not a strong swimmer you can still enjoy the therapeutic benefits of a lazy day in the sun floating on the warm blue water. We always provide flotation jackets for our snorkelers and wearing one means that you will not descend underwater if you're unable to swim.

5) What is the temperature of the water in Pattaya and are there strong ocean currents?
The average water temperature around the Pattaya Islands is 30 degrees Celsius and even in the Eastern Seaboard 'winter' the water is very unlikely to drop below 27 degrees. We personally have witnessed a 'balmy' 33 degrees during the hot and humid season around May to August. Strong currents are prone at certain times of the month which is why our boat will always anchor in the sheltered shallow bay that's most appropriate for the trip.

6) Is it safe to snorkel in the coral island of Pattaya?
Our snorkel tours offer a day of relaxation and stress free fun for a day on the boat and floating above the fish and corals. We concentrate on value for money and professional attentive service so our snorkeling trips are safe and enjoyable. We provide a local snorkel expert as a guide who will steer you away from potential hazards such as strong currents and motor boats, and help you to find the best snorkeling spots in Pattaya.

7) What kind of marine life shall I expect to see around the Pattaya Islands?
Great Question!
Of course I can't list every single type of fish and coral formation that exists in the Gulf of Thailand, however I can mention some of the most popular varieties that Pattaya Snorkelers may see. Damsel fish, Sergeant Major fish, Butterfly fish, Barracuda, Angelfish, Stingrays, Cuttlefish and very often .... Turtles.  (Click Here for Fish Photo's)

8) How do I make a booking for a Snorkeling Tour in Pattaya?
Simple!
Please send your chosen date, your accommodation in Pattaya and the number of adults and children in your group and we will reply to you as soon as possible to confirm the reservation. Deposits & Payments can be made safely through our safe Online Paypal Facility or through a Bank Transfer. (Click Here to Book a Snorkelling Tour)

Certainly! Our company is owned and managed by a PADI Master Scuba Instructor with more than 20 years experience and he would be delighted to offer help & advice to anyone who wants to try Scuba Diving in Pattaya
